MSME Minister Narayan Rane launches FIRST to support MSME digitisation in India

The mission of FIRST is to educate MSMEs about opportunities that will enable them to go digital and gain independence. Over 17,200 Indian enterprises have registered with the Forum. Aruna Sharma said that FIRST seeks to represent MSMEs that sell online and support their expansion.

Steps by Centre to increase exports by MSME sector: Official

The Center has established facilitation centres across the nation in an effort to increase MSMEs’ exports. D. Mitra said that these centres will help the sector by offering the necessary mentorship and by establishing a network of entrepreneurial leaders. The Center will also assist business owners in making sure that their goods and services are marketable.

Nitin Gadkari said that the worth of India’s domestic manufacturing sector is anticipated to reach Rs. 15 lakh crore. The automobile industry presently makes up 7.1% of the nation’s GDP, he added. Currently, the auto industry employs about 4 crore people, directly and indirectly, and that figure is expected to reach 5 crore by 2025.

Project to prop up Nutri cereals approved in J&K

The project is planned to be implemented over the course of three years. Atul Dulloo said that the project aims to encourage the cultivation of millets, increase their value addition, and create entrepreneurship opportunities for farmers. Additionally, the effort aims to spread knowledge about millets’ nutritional benefits.

Next week, the two parties will attempt to come to an in-principle agreement on issues including labor, sustainability, and access to vital raw materials. The agreement would give the EU equivalent status as an American free-trade partner. The law also appears to reduce America’s dependence on China for the supply of essential inputs.

UAE's non-oil business activity picks up in Feb on output growth-PMI 

In February, the S&P Global UAE Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) increased to 54.3 from 54.1 in January. The output sub-index increased to 62.1 in February from 59.8 the previous month, the highest level since October 2022, and respondents attributed the rise to new projects or rising client sales.

Overall, the 2023 Dell WE Cities Index showed success; the median score rose by 3.3 points from the previous year. All 55 cities received a score above the median in at least two of the 23 key areas evaluated for their ability to assist high-potential female entrepreneurs. The two cities that have improved the most in their rankings since 2017 are Delhi and Shanghai.

Moving Back To Nature - Suparna Trikha.

Ms. Suparna Trikha, did her schooling in Cheshire, England. She was greatly fascinated and influenced by her grandfather (the Chancellor of Gurukul Kandri, Haridwar).

In 1996, after a short stint with India’s leading herbal cosmetic company, she started with home-grown natural and fresh products.

She was tired of seeing damaged skin post Holi and trying to rectify it. She was the first to formulate and create an all natural Abir Gulaal and produced the first ever natural Gulaal.

She worked with a potters’ village, employed under–privileged women gave them a smoke–free wax. Thus, Smoke–free Diyas were created for Diwali aiming at bringing down pollution levels.

She believes in Make in India, their products are sourced from the soils of India all around the country.
